To support Volumezero’s design team, Spacezero, the builder and construction company was created to showcase its design-build practice capability and build projects designed by the former alongside many of the other leading builders of the country as well. Eventually the need for a complete building management team was realized who would ensure that the buildings run efficiently and thus FMS Spacezero came into being. To tie it all together, Simple Space was established, which undertakes the construction of interior projects designed by Volumezero, and also extends their services to external clients.

OUR JOURNEYDhaka, the capital city of Bangladesh, has a very rich cultural history of more than 400 years. The chronology of different eras and dynasties in this region throughout these four centuries had been immortalized by the art and architecture of this part of the world. However, these protectors of history and culture themselves are on the verge of extinction. Moreover, with the anarchy of the British Raj, the richness of the identity of this city dwindled over time at a faster pace till this age instead of an organic growth.

Our GuidesWith over 31 years of distinguished practice, Mohammad Foyez Ullah is one of Bangladesh’s preeminent architects, known for his visionary approach to contemporary design and sustainable urbanism. A former architectural educator at BUET, he left academia early in his career to dedicate himself fully to design practice. Through his collaborative studio, Volumezero Ltd, he has shaped some of the country’s most noteworthy architectural works, celebrated both nationally and internationally. As the principal of Spacezero Ltd — the development house behind the Simpletree brand — he continues to push the boundaries of quality, innovation, and community-focused design. His published books and international recognition stand as a testament to his lifelong commitment to advancing the architectural narrative of Dhaka and beyond.
Morsheda Nasmeen brings over three decades of leadership and visionary thinking to Spacezero Ltd. Beginning her career at BRAC, the world’s leading NGO, she later co-founded a successful real estate venture where she delivered multiple landmark projects over a 12-year span. In 2008, driven by a shared idealism and entrepreneurial spirit, she co-founded Spacezero Ltd alongside her husband, architect Mohammad Foyez Ullah. As Chairman, she remains the guiding force behind Simpletree’s mission — inspiring the team to strive for excellence, uphold trust, and deliver on the promise of timeless, people-centered spaces.
