Our Designs Will Speak for Ourselves
These were the words of Architect Mohammad Foyez Ullah during a studio session of Design Studio IX; Level 05 Term 1, Department of Architecture, BUET. The session took place on 28th October 2024 at the Volumezero Head Office. The students of this studio are required to design a Cinema-inspired Mixed-Use Development for the Digital Generation. It was an interactive session where the students share their own design ideas and aspirations. Ar. Foyez shared a presentation during this event where he discussed how mixed-use architecture is explored by the Volumezero Limited projects, within the regulatory frameworks. He concluded with the remark that the cinemas which we enjoy, encourage our design processes and decisions too. Their studio instructors, Prof. Dr. Farida Nilufar and Prof. Dr. Nasreen Hossain were also present in the event.
