habibvillaHabib Villa is a 14 storied residential villa in the calm residential neighborhood of North Gulshan, in a south-west corner plot. It explores the combination of a contemporary luxury living and the architectural roots of the country with the playfulness of exposed brick jali wall and fair-faced concrete.

The community spaces at the ground and first floor are engulfed by exposed brick jali pattern deriving from our heritage. The ascension of the villa from the terraced brick clad boundary wall to the mezzanine level gives us the impression of majestic architecture of Paharpur or Mahasthangarh. But it continues as a modern building from the level above till the end, connecting the occupants and visitors to two different iconic timelines. The perforated jali wall at the swimming pool and community space will ensure privacy while uplifting the mental health with the interplay of light and shadow.

With a diverging play of alternating planes, layers of exterior spaces are generated which facilitate the vertically oriented landscaped area with hanging gardens.

A companionship is evident from the periphery of the site. The semi-permeable boundary walls with the terraced brick cladding enables the indoor landscape to interact with the sidewalk. The relationship is also seen between the layers of exterior spaces with all the interior spaces of the residential units with the presence of double glazed doors and windows throughout the building.
